Vipra AM
Large-Scale Robotic Metal Additive Manufacturing
Overview
Vipra AM is Caracol’s robotic metal additive manufacturing platform designed for producing large-scale metal components using wire-arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) technology. Built on multi-axis robotic motion, Vipra AM enables the efficient production of structural metal parts, near-net-shape components, and repair applications. The system delivers high deposition rates and supports a variety of industrial metal alloys, allowing manufacturers to reduce lead times, minimize material waste, and produce large metal parts with greater flexibility than traditional fabrication methods.
Benefits
Print Large Metal Parts
Produce oversized metal components without the size constraints of traditional machining or casting processes.
High Deposition Rates
Build parts quickly using wire-based metal deposition designed for productivity and large-scale manufacturing.
Reduce Material Removal
Near-net-shape production minimizes machining time, tooling wear, and overall material waste.
Enable Repair & Remanufacturing
Restore worn or damaged components by adding material only where needed, extending part life and reducing costs.
